Del Taso 1850 is located in Metaxourgeio, one of the oldest neighborhoods in the historical center of Athens, and one of the last remaining small houses with a courtyard, ground floor buildings and several neoclassical buildings.
The area where Metaxourgio is located today wasn’t part of the urban area in ancient times, but was within the city borders.
Today, the Metaxourgeio area is a constantly developing area. It has been marginalized for years, but over the past decade, it has been one of Athens’ most Bohème areas, full of galleries, theaters, music stages, awarded restaurants and modern pubs with refined traditional flavors. This area has been chosen by many famous artists and politicians as permanent residence.
Del Tasso 1850 is located in Metaxourgio Square, just a few meters from the Metro station stop with name ‘METAXOURGIO’. Sights such as the Acropolis and its museum, as well as Monastiraki and Thision, are great idea for walking in ancient Athens and enjoying its ancient heritage, as they are only 10 to 15 minutes away. Of course, it is always possible to access these sights as well as the main arteries of Syntagma and Omonia by public transport, since we are in a key area with normal transportation.
